In my experience, the beginners of Jazz often like this album but deep jazz funs don't like it.
Personally I like it for BGM.

All tunes are famous bossa nova number. Most people must feel familiar with them.
Tete's brilliant feeling matches Bossa well.

Because tete has cheerful and open character for his play, this work also has very happy feeling.
Although it is a little bit different from original bossa nova feeling that is not only happy but also somehow mysterious, I like this feeling.

It is a collection of medley. The piano solos played in the transitions are excellent.

For a recording in 70's, the recording quality is relatively high.

Pick Up
-A girl from Ipanema
Jazzy bossa nova. many fast phrases.

-Desafinado
The intro of this song is excellent. What a great talent he has to add such a beautiful introduction even for Bossa Nova songs!

-Tristeza
Many fast phrase. Tete is very very cheerful. It is amazing.
The last part of this tune, tete uses the piano like a percussion. It is very unique and humorous.
